The BioHeritage Challenge is a strong supporter of great science that supports biosecurity solutions and, as such, is a proud sponsor of this year's New Zealand Biosecurity Awards.

BioHeritage programme leaders Dr Nick Waipara and Dr Amanda Black have been named as finalists in this year’s awards that celebrate outstanding contributions to protecting our country from threats such as pests, weeds and disease.

Nick is a finalist in the Biological Heritage Challenge Science Award for science excellence in biosecurity – acknowledging his work dealing with biosecurity threats such as kauri dieback. Amanda is a finalist for the AsureQuality Emerging Leader Award.

The awards are run by Biosecurity New Zealand, with winners to be announced on 12 November. Find out more about the finalists and the awards here.
