For example Ian Dickie will be describing how eDNA can provide an evidence base for conserving “hidden biodiversity.” There also will be discussions about using eDNA tools in biosecurity programmes.
Several eDNA team members will be at the conference and we expect to have useful conversations with end-users throughout the event.
In February, the team met with the Regional Council Biodiversity Working Group about using eDNA as a biodiversity assessment tool. The councils agreed to work with the project team on more joint research opportunities. We are always looking to develop more research partnerships, so please contact us with any ideas you have.
