Governance Group – Vacancy

We invite Expressions of Interest for appointment to the Governance  Group for the New Zealand’s Biological  Heritage National Science Challenge.

The Governance Group is accountable to the Challenge Contractor  (Landcare Research). The primary role of  the Governance Group is to aid the Challenge to achieve its stated objectives  through regular oversight of strategic direction, Challenge performance and  delivery of the Research Plan work programme.

Members of the Governance Group bring relevant perspectives based on  their professional and leadership roles and experiences.

For the current vacancy, key skills and experience required include:

  • Understanding of Mātauranga Māori and Treaty of  Waitangi principles;
  • Understanding of New Zealand research and innovation  landscape.
